A local way to find a room

HatfieldRooms.uk lists furnished rooms in shared houses across Hatfield — College Lane, de Havilland, the town centre and the other neighbourhoods on this site — plus nearby Welwyn Garden City and Potters Bar.

You deal with the landlord directly. Searching the site is free. Requesting a viewing is free, and it is not a tenancy. There are no agency, admin or referencing fees.

Rooms are furnished and the weekly rent includes gas, electricity, water and broadband. The room page shows the price per week and per month, what that room includes, when it is available, and the deposit, which is around one month's rent and protected in a government-approved scheme.

The rooms suit University of Hertfordshire students and people working at Hatfield Business Park or commuting by train. Tenancies are typically 6 or 12 months. A room that has been let stays on its page, marked let, with similar rooms, for 7 days. After that the address redirects to the area page.

Each area page shows the cheapest live room of each type and a short note on getting around, taken from that neighbourhood's own description. The room page shows the weekly rent, the monthly figure (weekly × 52 ÷ 12), what is included, and when the room is free.
