Room Types in Hatfield

Every listing is a room you can view with the landlord. The price on the room page is the weekly rent, with the monthly figure next to it. A deposit is around one month's rent and is protected in a government-approved scheme. Typical tenancies are 6 or 12 months.

Single

From £105/week (£455/month). A smaller furnished room with space for a bed, desk and storage. The usual choice for a student who wants a quieter place to work.

Double

From £112/week (£485/month). Room for a double bed as well as a desk and storage. Shared bathroom and kitchen unless the listing says otherwise.

En-suite

From £122/week (£529/month). Your own bathroom, with the kitchen and the rest of the house still shared. The room page lists what that house includes.

Studio

From £126/week (£546/month). A room with your own kitchen as well as a bathroom. These come up less often than singles and doubles.

How to choose

Start with the weekly price and whether bills are included, then the area. College Lane and de Havilland sit next to the university campuses. The town centre, Old Hatfield and Birchwood are a bus or cycle away. Welwyn Garden City and Potters Bar are the two places outside Hatfield on this site. Each area page shows the cheapest live room of each type and a short note on getting there, written from the neighbourhood description already on the site.

Then read the room page. It shows the price per week and per month, the deposit (around one month's rent), the tenancy (6 or 12 months), what the room includes, and when it is available. If the date is not set, the page says to ask. Similar rooms in the same area sit under the viewing form.

A let room stays on its own page, marked let, with those similar rooms, for 7 days. After that the address redirects to the area page so an old listing does not look available.
